Chief Executive of the Board congratulates Meri Huws on her appointment as Welsh Language Commissioner  

 

In response to the First Minister’s announcement today that Meri Huws, the Welsh Language Board’s present Chair, has been appointed as Welsh Language Commissioner from April 2012 onwards, the Chief Executive of the Board, Meirion Prys Jones, said:

"I congratulate Meri Huws on her appointment as Welsh Language Commissioner.

"Meri, of course, is very familiar with all the work the Board currently does and has also been involved in the process of following the Welsh Language Measure (2011). On behalf of all the Board’s staff and members, I wish her all the best in the future.”
