Welsh Language Board to meet in Fishguard 

The Welsh Language Board will hold its next open meeting at the Fishguard Bay Hotel, Fishguard on Friday 23 March 2001.

Among the matters to be discussed will be recent reports submitted to the Board on the Welsh Books Council, and the Mentrau Iaith (local language initiatives). Professor Colin Williams, a member of the Board and professor in socio-linguistics at University of Wales Cardiff, will lead the discussion on the Mentrau Iaith.

The meeting starts at 10.30 am. As usual, there is an invitation to any members of the public to attend the meeting and they are welcome to question the Chairman and his fellow members about the Board’s work. The papers will be available at the meeting, or on the Board’s website (www.byig-wlb.org.uk) from 10.00 onwards on the morning of the meeting.
