Translation, proof reading, editing, advice, consultation - just the basic services that the Linkline to Welsh offers for free as it's launched on Thursday 1 December at the Victoria Hotel, Anglesey.

Alun Pugh, the Minister for Culture, Welsh Language and Sport along with Meri Huws, Chair of the Welsh Language Board will be present to launch the Linkline which is operated by Menter Môn from their offices at Llangefni.

The aim of the Linkline is to offer practical assistance to organisations and individuals who wish to extend their use of the Welsh language. The service can help you to translate menus, signage, slogans in a quick and easy way. Brief enquiries are usually answered within one working day, and frequently on the spot. More complicated enquiries can take a little longer.

Meri Huws, Chair of the Welsh Language Board said "The Linkline is a very useful and important tool to so many people when they decide to introduce Welsh into their work and businesses. Indeed the majority of enquiries the Linkline receives are form the Private Sector, and market leaders such as Tesco and Marks & Spencer have alraedy used the service to it's full advantage."

The Linkline is a service for organisations and individuals from all sectors. It is well used by shops, restaurants, hotels and public houses who wish to offer bilingual menus and signage to their customers.

Some of the Linkline users will be present to explain how the Line has assisted them in providing a bilingual service to the public.
