Welsh Language Board’s open meeting in Maentwrog

13/09/2010

The people of Dwyfor and Meirionnydd are invited to the Welsh Language Board’s open meeting in Plas Tan y Bwlch, Maentwrog, on Friday September 24.

Board members will discuss a host of topics related to the language and the Welsh Language Board’s work.

Chair of the Board, Meri Huws, said:

“I’m sure we will have a lively and interesting discussion in this meeting. I particularly look forward to a presentation by a Gwynedd Council officer about the work of Hunaniaith. Hunaniaith is a multi-agency group, where individuals, community groups, businesses and public institutions come together to share ideas on how to best promote and facilitate the use of the language in Gwynedd.

"I would appreciate it if local people could attend and share their experiences and views about the language with us."

The meeting agenda and related papers will be found on the Board's website www.byig-wlb.org.uk.

Anyone planning to attend should contact the Board on 029 2087 8000 or email [email protected].

The meeting takes place between 9.30 and 12.45pm.
