Meri Huws, Chair of the Welsh Language Board said:

"We welcome Alun Ffred Jones to his new role as Heritage Minister, and look forward towards working closely with him during this important and exiting time in the history and development of the Welsh language. We will continue our discussions with the Government on how to increase the use of Welsh on a community level, and to promote Welsh medium services to consumers and shall look forward to see the Legislative Competence Order (LCO) on the language.”
