Make the switch to bilingual computing
Our free Language Control Centre (LCC) enables easy switching between Welsh and English language interfaces. Ideal for bilingual households and workplaces it enables people with different language skills to use their chosen language on the same machine. It also includes a series of tutorials. Separate version are available for Windows Vista and Windows XP - both free of charge. Choose the appropriate version under 'publications' on the right hand side of this screen.
Welsh Grammar, Spell checking and dictionary tools for your computer
'Cysgliad' which includes CySill (a program to check Welsh grammar and spelling) together with 'Cysgeir' which enables you to easily find words in either Welsh or English, can be integrated into most word processing packages. There are two versions: one for PC and one for Apple Macintosh systems.
The version for Apple Macintosh is available free of charge for download, as will be all the IT products the Board funds from now on. Click on the relevant logo to find out more.
OpenOffice
We have funded a project to create a bilingual version of OpenOffice. Click on the logo to find out more.
