The aim of this fund is to encourage and support third sector bodies to deliver progressive new ventures in order to develop good practice in bilingualism, biculturalism and use of the Welsh language. We believe that owing to the excellent work achieved by achieved by Estyn Llaw and their credibility in the field they are the best vehicle to deliver this Development Fund.

Specific organisations who have received the approval of the Welsh Language Board for a voluntary Welsh language scheme will receive an invitation to apply for funding from the development fund. Officers from the Welsh Language Board and from Estyn Llaw will discuss the applications and work with the successful organisations to develop innovative activities.
