What is the Welsh Language Board and why it was set up? 

The Welsh Language Board is a statutory body, funded by public money. Its main function is to promote and facilitate the use of the Welsh language. The Board was established by the Welsh Language Act 1993, primarily to implement that act. It is responsible for overseeing the process of preparing statutory Welsh language schemes, for their approval and for monitoring their implementations
